Episode 333: The Intricacies of Relationships and Self-Perception
This podcast episode delves into the complexities of personal struggles, particularly focusing on mental health and the challenges surrounding food addiction. We candidly explore the societal perceptions of mental health, emphasizing the importance of empathy and understanding towards individuals grappling with their internal battles. Our discussion highlights the notion that those who openly express their struggles often do so after exhausting all other options, revealing a vulnerability that requires careful attention and support. Moreover, we address the misconceptions surrounding food addiction, illustrating it as an intricate issue that cannot simply be resolved by willpower alone. Ultimately, we urge listeners to adopt a compassionate approach, recognizing that everyone is on a unique journey, and to encourage open dialogue about mental health to foster a more supportive environment.

Speaker A:The 5 minute warning and AG has re entered the studio.
Speaker A:Hopefully he has hit with.
Speaker A:He has taken care of his techno technological issues.
Speaker B:I think I have.
Speaker B:I don't know what happens.
Speaker A:That's what I'm talking about, man.
Speaker B:I was like, everything was cool and then it wasn't.
Speaker A:Hey, man, technology, baby.
Speaker A:It loves you, then it don't.
Speaker A:Okay, then it loves you again, then it don't.
Speaker B:True enough, true enough.
Speaker A:Hey, man, how you been doing?
Speaker B:Not bad, not bad.
Speaker B:Had a quiet weekend with a little lady, went thrifting.
Speaker B:She got some nice stuff, tried it on for.
Speaker B:Hey, man, let me tell you.
Speaker B:I got a story for you, sir.
Speaker B:Ain't going to last long, cuz.
Speaker B:We need to get started.
Speaker B:But I did want to let you know when your turn happens, and it will.
Speaker B:And you go shopping, or in my case, thrift.
Speaker B:And your woman buys a bathing suit.
Speaker B:She comes home and models for you.
Speaker B:This is a beautiful feeling, sir.
Speaker B:It's a beautiful sight and a beautiful feeling.
Speaker B:Just letting you know.
Speaker A:Look, first of all, it's almost like.
Speaker B:When your mom used to get Victoria's Secret in the mail and used to take it because it was like a legal playboy.
Speaker B:Just saying.
Speaker B:Kind of like that.
Speaker A:Never had that.
Speaker B:Are you serious?
Speaker B:Serious, bruh, did you ever look in the Sears catalog, bro?
Speaker A:Come on, man, stop calling out my stuff, man.
Speaker A:I was supposed to be on the low.
Speaker B:Did I just tell the game?
Speaker B:Did I just tell the game?
Speaker A:You just tell the game back in the day, man.
Speaker A:That's what it was.
Speaker B:Well, you know, I'm just saying, my mom started getting Victoria's secret in the mail.
Speaker B:I was like, what in the world is this?
Speaker B:She never got him.
Speaker B:I got him, though.
Speaker B:Just saying.
Speaker A:I bet you did.
Speaker B:Anyway, I was just saying that because it's really nice being married to a traveling smoke show.
Speaker B:Just saying.
Speaker A:Oh, of course, of course.
Speaker B:I mean, look, man, especially $150 bathing suit for $4.
Speaker B:I ain't mad at that either.
Speaker A:I mean, we all know, right, the best time of the year is summer.
Speaker B:It absolutely is.
Speaker B:I agree.
Speaker A:Because, bro, you know, it's not even the bathing suits for me, man.
Speaker A:It's the sundresses.
Speaker B:Big fan.
Speaker B:Big fan.
Speaker A:Huge fan.
Speaker A:Now, with that being said, there's a difference between a sundress and a moo moo.
Speaker B:Love them all.
Speaker A:I don't do mo.
Speaker A:I don't think moo moves accentuate anything.
Speaker B:To each his own, man.
Speaker B:But moo moos to me, wonderful.
Speaker A:But see, moo moves you wear at home.
Speaker A:And I mean, and where, where is.
Speaker B:There you need to be besides home, baby.
Speaker A:I understand that, man, but it covers like everything.
Speaker A:It just.
Speaker A:Just go ahead, put a sheet on you and like tie it up right here.
Speaker A:It just covers everything.
Speaker A:I'm not a fan.
Speaker B:No, man, you just.
Speaker B:Listen, the thing with the muumu is it does cover everything, but it's see through, sorta.
Speaker B:And it's slinky and then the booty just.
Speaker B:Oh, man, not all of them.
Speaker A:Not all of them, man.
Speaker B:You must be talking about a house coat.
Speaker B:You must be talking about a house coat.
Speaker A:Now what you're talking about is a negligee.
Speaker B:No, no, no.
Speaker B:This is, this is a moomoo.
Speaker B:This is a moo Moo.
Speaker A:Are.
Speaker A:Are multicolored.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Not attractive.
Speaker B:Don't agree situate.
Speaker A:Absolutely nothing they're not supposed to see.
Speaker A:That's the whole point, man.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:If I can't see the body, what am I doing?
Speaker B:Listen, if you're a dude, you like naked women.
Speaker B:If you're.
Speaker B:If you're a heterosexual man, you like naked women and mumu own way accentuate the man.
Speaker B:The.
Speaker B:The female form 100.
Speaker A:Talking about two different things, right?
Speaker A:Because the moo moo that I'm talking about is what grandma be wearing around the house and people be wearing that out like to Walmart, like that shit's closed.
Speaker B:You talking about like a house coat type of thing.
Speaker A:I mean, but, but you wear it all day.
Speaker A:It's not sexy.
Speaker A:That's what I'm saying, well, I think.
Speaker B:I think that needs to be put out there.
Speaker B:Ruben doesn't think it's sexy, and that's his thing.
Speaker B:I personally think moomoos are just like, oh, my goodness.
Speaker A:So once again, I think.
Speaker A:I just think we have.
Speaker A:We're looking at completely two different things.
Speaker B:I don't think we are.
Speaker B:I just think you like.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker B:You don't like them and I like them.
Speaker B:I don't think.
Speaker B:I think we're talking about the same thing.
Speaker B:It's just like your taste doesn't involve moves.
Speaker B:That's all.
Speaker B:And it's okay.
Speaker B:But for me, bruh, bruh.
Speaker B:The only thing sexy than a moomoo to me is a woman in my dress shirt with nothing else on.
Speaker B:There's nothing more sexy than those two.
Speaker A:Okay, see, here it is.
Speaker A:All right, man.
Speaker B:I thought we agreed to disagree.
Speaker B:I mean.
Speaker A:No, no, no.
Speaker A:I just.
Speaker A:I think it's.
Speaker A:It's fair because those who are watching should know, like, the difference.
Speaker A:And I see what you're talking about now because you're right.
Speaker A:Some do look like that.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Some moves don't.
Speaker B:No, that's why I said.
Speaker B:Are you talking about a house coat?
Speaker B:Now, a house coat isn't as sexy to me because a house coat is pretty thick.
Speaker B:See all of these?
Speaker B:Okay, so the first one is a moomoo.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And that's not attractive.
Speaker C:Why?
Speaker D:Why not?
Speaker A:But I see three.
Speaker A:I see two and three and four.
Speaker B:Well, actually, but then three is kind of like a.
Speaker B:That's.
Speaker B:That's kind of.
Speaker B:But like, see, and this number four is like a sundress as far as I'm concerned.
Speaker A:Nah, man, that's.
Speaker A:That's not.
Speaker A:You don't wear that out the house.
Speaker B:But I hear what you're saying.
Speaker B:But while I'm all I'm saying, I'm saying, like, number five, that's certainly a moomoo, but I like mine a little shorter.
Speaker B:But the bottom line is you like.
Speaker A:Yours number two and three.
Speaker A:Yeah, like the pink joint.
Speaker B:But the thing is.
Speaker B:But see what I'm saying?
Speaker B:But.
Speaker B:But the thing is, all of it is hot because women, when you drape something over a woman, it's just like, oh, my goodness.
Speaker B:Are you serious right now?
Speaker B:I mean, I'm just saying, bro, it just is what it is.
Speaker A:I mean, I get it to a point, but you don't put.
Speaker A:You don't put a.
Speaker A:A lamp.
Speaker A:A lampshade on a lamp, and it looks better.
Speaker B:Well, in this case, it absolutely looks better.
Speaker B:I'm just saying.
Speaker B:Moo.
Speaker B:Moos.
Speaker B:Have paid many bills, man.
Speaker B:I'm just letting you know.
Speaker A:I guess what I'm saying is, number five and six, not a fan.
Speaker A:I'm just not.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:You know, And I'm fine with that.
Speaker A:You're right.
Speaker A:Cause you are right.
Speaker A:You know, we all have differences, stuff like that.
Speaker B:Yeah, I mean, like, you know.
Speaker A:Yeah, I get that.
Speaker B:That's all I'm saying.
Speaker B:It's just like, if you don't like them, I get why you don't.
Speaker B:But for me, we're solid.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:Well, they're all muumus.
Speaker B:I think people listen, man, when women.
Speaker B:There are things that women can wear that are.
Speaker B:That are a turn off.
Speaker B:You don't say that, but it's like, yeah, I'm good.
Speaker B:And then there are a handful of things that women can wear that are.
Speaker B:That are comfortable for them.
Speaker B:That is like a walking Playboy magazine as far as I'm concerned.
Speaker B:So I'm like.
Speaker B:Because there are some things my wife wears.
Speaker B:It's like, you know.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:But then there are some things that she'll wear, like every so often, not trying to do anything, but it's just like.
Speaker B:Because the other thing she got Saturday was a cover shirt.
Speaker B:Like, what you would a woman wear over a bathing suit?
Speaker B:Yeah, yeah, she put that on with the bathing suit.
Speaker B:I was like, girl, stop.
Speaker B:What are you doing?
Speaker B:I mean, what are we doing?
Speaker B:So, again, it just depends.
Speaker B:I mean, you can't ask a woman to do any of this stuff.
Speaker B:Not unless you're buying one, which, you know, everybody knows I'm a proponent of that.
Speaker B:But what I'm saying is muumus.
Speaker A:Oh, my.
Speaker B:That's all I'm saying.
Speaker B:For me.
Speaker A:For me, I wish they call them something else other than a damn mumu.
Speaker B:It's not an attractive word.
Speaker B:But look, man, if they're different types,.
Speaker A:As we just discovered, there are, but.
Speaker B:They all say and do the same thing.
Speaker B:That's why I'm all about a mumu.
Speaker A:And that's cool.
Speaker A:And we can agree.
Speaker A:Disagree on that.
Speaker B:That's what I was saying 10 minutes ago.
Speaker A:I know, but sometimes it's worth talking about.
Speaker B:Is it because I'm.
Speaker A:I just.
Speaker A:Yeah, because I need to understand.
Speaker A:It's just me.
Speaker B:Clearly, you were.
Speaker A:Fine.
Speaker A:I just need to understand, man.
Speaker B:Listen, man, I.
Speaker B:Like I said, the one.
Speaker B:The.
Speaker B:The female form, especially when it's not.
Speaker B:Especially when it's enticing.
Speaker B:There are certain things you can do, man.
Speaker B:It's just like, holy cow.
Speaker B:And a moomoo's one of those things.
Speaker A:I mean, just like, like sweatpants, sometimes they're good, but depends on what type of spread sweatpant you got.
Speaker A:I understand.
Speaker A:And depends on what your body figure looks like.
Speaker A:I mean, you wearing some, some sweatpants and that should be hugging.
Speaker A:It's like, yes, sir, I understood.
Speaker B:I understand.
Speaker B:You know, I do.
Speaker A:But I think, I think more often than not, if a man sees that lady in sweatpants, that usually means you ain't getting nothing.
Speaker B:I would agree.
Speaker B:Sometimes.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Because see that.
Speaker B:Now you're, now you're taking it to where, like, just because my wife in particular, I think she belongs to a bigger, bigger group than people would, would care to admit.
Speaker B:She could wear, you know, sweatpants every day.
Speaker B:That doesn't mean that I ain't getting none.
Speaker B:That's exactly what that doesn't mean.
Speaker B:It just means she's wearing sweatpants every day.
Speaker B:That's all it means.
Speaker B:So it's just like.
Speaker B:But I do understand it because again, when you think about general comfort, when you're comfortable, you're not trying to have no pee pee in you, man.
Speaker B:You just not.
Speaker B:And I, I get that.
Speaker B:Do you want to go through all that kind of trouble?
Speaker B:Probably not.
Speaker B:But when you do want some, you, you know, you generally wear something else.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:You're not wearing sweatpants.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:Unless.
Speaker A:Unless you're sexy sweatpants.
Speaker B:Well, I don't know if they're sexy sweatpants or not.
Speaker B:It's just like, you know.
Speaker B:But the cool thing about being a woman, your job is super easy.
Speaker B:All you have to do is something small.
Speaker B:You don't have to really go to work.
Speaker B:Women don't have to work for anything.
Speaker B:So, you know, it's just kind of one of those things.
Speaker B:But I'm just saying, man, it's just like I say, certain things women wear, you already know what's going down.
Speaker A:You know the interesting thing, I know we're not getting on topic yet, but the curiosity, the curiosity has, has, has jumped in my face.
Speaker A:Okay, so I'm asking you.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:Because you were married.
Speaker B:Yep.
Speaker D:And.
Speaker A:Yeah, you're married.
Speaker A:So dispel the myth for me.
Speaker A:Okay, so the myth is that once a woman gets of a certain age and she goes through a certain thing, then she really doesn't want to have sex anym.
Speaker B:I don't think it's as simple as that.
Speaker B:And then it is that simple, but it's used as an excuse.
Speaker B:The first thing, it's not that simple because there are certain things that happen to a woman.
Speaker B:This is me not speaking for women.
Speaker B:This is me consuming a lot of woman content.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:And then being married.
Speaker B:I understand that.
Speaker B:Also, when you go through.
Speaker B:When a woman goes through menopause, there seems to be a problem with lubrication.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker B:And if it's a problem with Luna lubrication, it's not fun for anybody.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah.
Speaker B:So if that continues, you know, if that continues, then, you know, she's not going to want to.
Speaker B:Now, there are two types of women, based on what I've learned.
Speaker B:There's the type of woman that'll use that as an excuse not to touch you because she don't like you.
Speaker B:And some of the reason why she don't like you is because of the change she's going through.
Speaker B:At least that's what women are telling the world.
Speaker A:Yeah, like I had something to do with that.
Speaker B:Exactly.
Speaker B:The part is, she never really liked you.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:She just never really liked you.
Speaker A:Deuces, so.
Speaker B:Well, I've.
Speaker B:That's a whole nother podcast.
Speaker B:I asked that question all the time.
Speaker B:But anyway, it's just like.
Speaker B:So I don't think that there's a certain age because there are women out there that are very sexually active.
Speaker B:They just got sexually active with you.
Speaker B:I mean, y' all say it all the time.
Speaker B:I mean, did you said it last week.
Speaker B:What does it be?
Speaker B:She don't want to sleep with you.
Speaker B:I've heard y' all say that a million times, and you're not wrong.
Speaker B:So it's just like if you're.
Speaker B:If your wife or partner likes you, she will do what she has to do to get right.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker B:And then sex will resume or sex will, you know, be more frequent, but there can be physical issues.
Speaker B:And then two, you know, if.
Speaker B:If she's had a hysterectomy, sometimes that can mess with you.
Speaker B:It all depends on what's happening to her or happened to her, or if there's an injury or, you know, if there's any kind of.
Speaker B:Any kind of cancer treatment that could mess with it.
Speaker B:You know, there's so many things.
Speaker B:But what I'm telling you, at the end of the day, if your woman don't like you, there are 20 million excuses for her to not give you none.
Speaker B:So that's the full answer to your question.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:It's not a simple answer, but at the end of the day, if your woman likes you, you will get some.
Speaker B:If she doesn't like you, she will not give you any.
Speaker B:Because, see, the rules say that you have to put up with that.
Speaker B:The rules say that if she says you'll never have sex again, you still have to provide for her, you still have to stay married to her, you still have to just do whatever you have to do.
Speaker B:But you're not getting this and you not going out in the street and getting uneven.
Speaker B:So they can use virtually any excuse not to do what they have to do if she don't like you.
Speaker B:Because there are plenty of people out there that have a great sexual life that are our age or older.
Speaker B:I mean, rub it down.
Speaker B:Exactly, exactly.
Speaker B:I mean I bet you if you went searching through your parents, you might parents house, you might find some things you can't unsee.
Speaker A:Yeah, we all go search for that.
Speaker A:But I hope it happens.
Speaker B:Exactly.
Speaker B:And that's my whole point.
Speaker B:It's just like, just because you, you go through, the woman goes through the change doesn't mean that the sex stop now.
Speaker B:It might slow down until, you know, things kind of calm down or she can get hormone treatment or whatever she's how, however she's dealing with menopause.
Speaker B:But if your woman really like you or, or, and, or if she feels a duty to you, she gonna find a way.
Speaker B:Oh absolutely, absolutely.
Speaker B:And that's the bottom line.
Speaker B:It's, this is a want to thing.
Speaker B:This is not,.
Speaker A:It's not a will.
Speaker B:Or scale, it's a want to because all you have to do is be available.
Speaker B:You're not doing anything.
Speaker B:I mean it's not like you really putting it down.
Speaker B:Like, like, like for real, you're, you're just letting him in lovingly letting him in.
Speaker B:It'd be, it'd be one thing if you was, I mean, doing at work.
Speaker B:Like you know, you paying about an hour doing at work.
Speaker B:Most women don't have sex like that.
Speaker B:However, does it really matter?
Speaker B:No, it doesn't really matter.
Speaker B:But as long as she's lovingly letting you in, that's all is really required.
Speaker B:So a lot of women, I'll tell you man, a lot of women out here, they use a lot of really good excuses to not have sex with their man.
Speaker B:And they are, they are able bodied.
Speaker B:They just don't like you.
Speaker B:That's how women out here talking about, well I don't, I'm too tired.
Speaker B:You know why they're too tired?
Speaker B:Because some of them out here, they bone somebody before they, they saw you.
Speaker B:They've been sleeping with this dude all day while you've been at work.
Speaker B:Of course you don't want no more.
Speaker B:That's a real thing.
Speaker A:Yeah man, that's why I gotta get that prenup, baby.
Speaker B:Well, and sometimes menopause will make you, you know, like.
Speaker B:Like a lot.
Speaker B:A lot of.
Speaker B:A lot of men and women say, yeah, it's just like, I don't know how to.
Speaker B:I need to learn how to breathe differently because she can't stand the way I breathe.
Speaker B:Breathe.
Speaker B:But I still say I don't.
Speaker B:I don't think that that's all menopause.
Speaker B:I think that that's women that don't like who they with.
Speaker B:They just don't like you.
Speaker B:And menopause has made it worse.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:So again, there's all sorts of things.
Speaker B:But at the end of the day, for me, if somebody really wants you, they will figure it out.
Speaker B:If somebody really loves you and wants to please you, they will figure it out.
Speaker B:Or they will use other tools to their, you know, that they have to benefit you.
Speaker B:If you can't do it vaginally, then fellatio it is a little better.
Speaker B:Reach around or whatever.
Speaker B:That is what it looks like when a woman wants to.
Speaker B:When a woman figures out everything in the world not to do, she don't like you.
Speaker B:It's that simple, man.
Speaker B:I mean, even for men, when is the last time you wanted somebody and didn't do anything about it?
Speaker B:That doesn't work that way.
Speaker A:It's like you sitting having those issues.
Speaker A:Options.
Speaker B:Exactly.
Speaker B:If your man is.
Speaker B:I'll turn it around.
Speaker B:Which is even worse because the funniest thing in the world is for me to see is a man that don't want a woman and watch a woman shrivel up and die.
Speaker B:That's the funniest thing ever to me.
Speaker B:Because it's like when it's the.
Speaker B:Hey, what's.
Speaker B:I mean, what's wrong?
Speaker B:It's like you ain't sleeping with me.
Speaker B:I'm good.
Speaker B:Why you out there cheating?
Speaker B:You know where I am.
Speaker B:I'm not cheating.
Speaker B:I just don't want you.
Speaker B:I'm good.
Speaker A:The day I say that it is time for you to hit the bricks.
Speaker B:Hey.
Speaker B:Only thing I'm saying is it's the funniest thing ever.
Speaker A:That's why you get.
Speaker B:Because women can't handle no.
Speaker B:Women can't handle no.
Speaker B:Because you imagine a woman.
Speaker B:Hey.
Speaker B:All I'm saying is a woman having to hear you can't get none from a dude.
Speaker B:It's funny because they shrivel up and die.
Speaker B:Yet they don't understand what it's like for us to hear no, no, no.
Speaker B:All the time funniest thing ever.
Speaker B:But anyway, man, like I said before, if your woman wants you, she's gonna show you that she wants you and she's gonna figure it out.
Speaker B:A woman that don't give you none because of all the things that she could say, she's gonna use those excuses.
Speaker B:But the bottom line is she don't like you.
Speaker B:She don't like it.
Speaker A:I mean, so we're gonna end this by me saying this like the kids say, hey, man, if your girl stop giving you that wham, you better have freedom up.
Speaker B:Understood.
Speaker A:Get, get, get the out.
Speaker A:Like, I mean, can a little boy hanging around there.
Speaker A:Like, I know that sounds crass, but like, is it though Real, real talk.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:If your woman don't want to touch you no more, what we doing?
Speaker B:Yeah, cuz a woman not wanting to touch you says a lot of things and they're all red flags.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And that's.
Speaker A:And that's why.
Speaker A:I mean, and it's crazy, right?
Speaker A:Cuz people.
Speaker A:People will listen to this and be like, damn, man, Ruben's like all about this prenup.
Speaker A:No, man, I'm all about the.
Speaker A:I'm all about and all that beautiful shit.
Speaker A:But I'm also.
Speaker A:I understand, man.
Speaker A:One day you might wake up and she don't want to look at your ass no more.
Speaker A:And instead of just being like, yo, it's time to go, you know, it's time to split up.
Speaker A:She ain't gonna do that.
Speaker A:Because, I mean, you might be supporting her from everything, so she ain't trying to lose that, but she also ain't trying to get at Wham.
Speaker A:So like, if you.
Speaker A:You gotta have an exit strategy.
Speaker A:And this is your exit strategy.
Speaker A:And like, when it's all said and done, any woman.
Speaker A:And this, this is woo.
Speaker A:This.
Speaker A:This is going to hit hard.
Speaker A:Any woman who says, why you making me sign a prenup?
Speaker A:It's time for you to walk away.
Speaker B:Absolutely.
Speaker A:Because look, man, when it's all said and done, you don't think you're gonna execute that thing.
Speaker A:It's all just in case.
Speaker A:It's like, it's like insurance.
Speaker A:Nobody wants to pay insurance, but you ain't got choices.
Speaker A:Just in case you hit something, just in case something up your house, just in case you get up.
Speaker A:Like, that's why we pay for insurance, Yo, A prenup is nothing but insurance.
Speaker A:It's ensuring that we love each other and we're gonna be together as long as possible.
Speaker A:But if that don't work, guess what?
Speaker A:We're gonna execute this prenup and we.
Speaker A:And we gonna walk away by whatever the prenup says.
Speaker A:And you know, my.
Speaker A:Once again, I, I.
Speaker A:And I hate to say this, man, but especially these days, I don't trust any woman who won't sign a prenup.
Speaker A:We ain't getting married.
Speaker A:I'll be by myself.
Speaker A:Because when it's all said and done, if it's gonna be like that, why pay you to leave the marriage when I can just save my money and pay somebody else and not be married, you know?
Speaker A:Because.
Speaker A:Yeah, because you right.
Speaker A:Ad when it's all said and done, somebody gon.
Speaker A:Somebody's gonna find it, whether it's you or whether it's her.
Speaker A:And if.
Speaker A:If she finds it and she.
Speaker A:But she ain't giving it to you, that's a B.
Speaker A:And you need to roll on.
Speaker A:Agree.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Yeah, get that way.
Speaker B:That's why I was trying to tell you the last week or week before last is like, even though you're not rich, if you marry someone, is not a homeowner praying out up.
Speaker B:Oh.
Speaker B:Because that they could take it away from you and.
Speaker B:And take it from you.
Speaker B:Make you pay for it or make you sell it and split the split the difference.
Speaker B:I'm like, no, that's.
Speaker B:No, that's not how this going to work.
Speaker A:Yeah, man.
Speaker A:Like, I'm watching this.
Speaker A:I'm watching this, like, Internet series and stuff, and these two people are married, but they really need to get a divorce.
Speaker A:Like, they just.
Speaker A:She ain't happening no more.
Speaker A:She sucks.
Speaker A:And he's just like, you suck.
Speaker A:But every time.
Speaker A:But every time she wants to bring up, this is our house.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:He's like, this is my house.
Speaker A:She's like, this is our house.
Speaker A:And I was like, you know what?
Speaker A:Yeah, you know what's never gonna happen.
Speaker A:And you're right, Ag.
Speaker A:I think.
Speaker A:I think when it does happen, I just don't really have a choice because you ain't put in on this, man.
Speaker A:And that's just what it is.
Speaker A:It's like.
Speaker A:And it's sad, right?
Speaker A:It's sad because we have people out like that, you know, they do whatever get to where they want to get.
Speaker A:Next thing you know.
Speaker A:You know what?
Speaker A:I don't like you anymore.
Speaker A:I'm out.
Speaker A:Deuces.
Speaker A:And then half your shits go.
Speaker A:All because she decides she ain't like your ass no more.
Speaker B:Exactly.
Speaker A:Nah, nah, we're not doing that.
Speaker A:I don't care how old I could be.65 and getting mad Prenup B.
Speaker A:That's what we doing.
Speaker A:I may got five years left on this planet after that.
Speaker A:But you know what's not gonna happen?
Speaker A:You cheat and take all my money.
Speaker A:You got to kill me or you better hope I die like it's one of those two.
Speaker A:And then you still might not get it because I don't like your ass.
Speaker A:I'm not going to put you in a wheel.
Speaker A:Let's go.
Speaker A:That's another thing.
Speaker A:You got to set up a will.
Speaker A:If you're attached to somebody, you need to have a will.
Speaker A:Because the day that you start hating this and they not trying to get out the marriage, your will will say, you know, but this, this my wife don't get.
Speaker A:Ain't nothing she can do about it.
Speaker A:So that is relationship advice for your ass today.
Speaker A:Accidentally.
Speaker B:Is that what it is?
Speaker A:Hey, man, it is what it is, bro.
Speaker A:I mean, look, man, I'm 53, man, and I gotta be thinking about this, man.
Speaker C:You do?
Speaker A:Because, I mean, it's not.
Speaker A:It's not like when my.
Speaker A:When our parents got married, bro, nobody ain't thinking about no that.
Speaker A:Yeah, like, bruh, like, I need you to sign this waiver to walk into.
Speaker B:My damn house or they can't even be a guest.
Speaker B:I mean, without signing a waiver, bro.
Speaker B:I think you might be saying a little too far, sir.
Speaker A:Nah, man.
Speaker A:The greatest ever, man.
Speaker A:And if Moby was here, he would.
Speaker A:He would co. Sign.
Speaker A:So you know the coach of the Lakers, right?
Speaker B:Which one?
Speaker A:The current coach of the Lakers.
Speaker A:I just had his name.
Speaker A:Damn it.
Speaker A:Now I'm about to be mad because it's gonna pull up.
Speaker A:J.J. reddick.
Speaker B:Oh, yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Okay, okay, okay.
Speaker A:I mean, he's a dude guy.
Speaker A:That's why I figured you, you know.
Speaker B:But you had to sign.
Speaker B:You had to sign papers.
Speaker B:Let's have sex with that dude.
Speaker A:Exactly, exactly.
Speaker A:In college, he's like, you need to sign this non disclosure form.
Speaker B:Absolutely.
Speaker A:I'm not giving you none of this.
Speaker A:Penis 100.
Speaker A:And like, yo, the fact that chicks probably signed that for real and they can't even talk about it, bro.
Speaker A:You had sex with one of the.
Speaker A:The greatest college basketball players ever and you can't even tell your girls about it?
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:That means either A, that shit was absolutely horrible, or B, that shit was like creating new life without creating new life.
Speaker B:But I mean, at the same time, this is like, it can be both, depending on which woman you talk to.
Speaker A:Yeah, so.
Speaker B:Or which man you talk to.
Speaker B:Depends.
Speaker B:It's just, you know, like I said, man, he covers his bases, but at the same time, it's just like, you Know, people might be shocked at that, but man, if you're him, even at Duke, if you're him, you gotta protect yourself.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I mean, what you're not gonna do is come out and say I got bad penis.
Speaker B:Well, it could be more than that, sir.
Speaker A:No, I'm just saying, like, what if she gets upset?
Speaker A:Because you know how.
Speaker A:You know how women get upset?
Speaker A:And the first dig of it.
Speaker A:That's why you're dick tiny.
Speaker A:Like,.
Speaker B:Really?
Speaker A:Really, chick?
Speaker A:Yes, my dick tiny.
Speaker A:But you were scratching for the, for the.
Speaker A:Trying to get away.
Speaker A:Like.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I mean, you.
Speaker A:You had to get in a wheelchair afterwards.
Speaker A:But my dick is tiny.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:I'm just saying, man, you gotta.
Speaker A:And that.
Speaker A:And that's.
Speaker A:That's a great thing, man, to have a. I mean, you're a college player, man.
Speaker A:You got.
Speaker A:You got non disclosures to have sex with chicks on campus.
Speaker A:Hey, that's wild.
Speaker B:I don't think so.
Speaker A:Wow, bro, it's.
Speaker A:Hey.
Speaker A:So one day we're gonna have to.
Speaker A:As much as we talk about prenups, we probably got to find a lawyer to get on.
Speaker A:Get on the show and truly talk.
Speaker A:Because like real talk these in these days is almost like a public service announcement, you know, so.
Speaker B:Because we.
Speaker A:We've been talking about this from the beginning of this.
Speaker A:We've always talked about at least me because I'm a full believer of prenups 100.
Speaker A:And I know my mom will listen to this.
Speaker A:She's like, boy, you ain't got nothing.
Speaker A:It's not the point.
Speaker B:You kind of do have something, sir.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And then if I want to get up, then I can get about later.
Speaker A:Deuces.
Speaker A:You suck now.
Speaker A:And you don't suck anymore.
Speaker A:It's time for you to go.
Speaker A:Me?
Speaker B:Oh, my goodness, you suck now.
Speaker B:It's that simple.
Speaker A:I mean, you suck and you stop sucking.
Speaker A:So it's time for you to go.
Speaker A:Like, you are not fulfilling your duties.
Speaker B:Oh, my goodness.
Speaker A:Of what you're supposed to do.
Speaker A:So it's time for you to move.
Speaker A:And yes, you're not getting half my shit.
Speaker A:You're taking what you came in with.
Speaker A:Because this piece of paper says that you don't got choices.
Speaker A:Deuces.
Speaker B:Deuces.
Speaker A:I mean, deduces.
Speaker B:Oh, man.
Speaker A:Not that I'm gonna be honest with you, man.
Speaker A:Like, I don't think.
Speaker A:Even if I got married, man, I don't think.
Speaker A:My hope is you would never have to execute something like that.
Speaker A:But I can only imagine it's like, man, the only reason I'm with this Dude.
Speaker A:Because I gotta keep him happy.
Speaker A:Takes care of me.
Speaker A:God damn it.
Speaker A:Well, a lot of what happens, huh?
Speaker B:That happens quite often.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I mean, like, my thing is, don't be broke.
Speaker A:When you get with a dude, have your own.
Speaker B:That's not the point.
Speaker B:The women that want to be taken care of like that, where they're predators.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:They ain't got their whole.
Speaker B:Their whole shtick is for you to take care of them.
Speaker B:And they.
Speaker B:They'll let you know up front.
Speaker B:They'll.
Speaker B:They'll make you feel bad that you can't take care of.
Speaker B:And so you will try harder.
Speaker B:And a lot of men do, Just not me.
Speaker A:Suckers.
Speaker A:Suckers.
Speaker A:If I go on a date and she is unhappy with the place that we went.
Speaker A:Thanks for telling me that.
Speaker A:I don't need to call you anymore.
Speaker A:You know what?
Speaker A:How about this?
Speaker A:I'm gonna erase your number right here on my phone and I'm gonna show you.
Speaker A:So don't call me anymore because, you know, because your name's not in my phone book.
Speaker A:You're going straight to voicemail, baby.
Speaker A:That's how we do.
Speaker B:Is that how we do?
Speaker A:That's how we do.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:It's very rare that I answer a phone call with no.
Speaker A:With no Alphabet in front of it.
Speaker B:Understood.
Speaker A:If you're not in my phone book, you're not important enough to me.
Speaker A:True.
Speaker A:And that's real.
Speaker A:That's real.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:All right, enough of that talk.
Speaker A:Let's get into what we can't talk about today.
Speaker A:So shout out to Mo B.
Speaker A:For giving us a topic, even though he is, in part, so known, and he will not be with us tonight.
Speaker A:Topic of the day.
Speaker A:Which is very interesting.
Speaker B:Huh?
Speaker A:What is something that you routinely struggle or stress about but rarely, if ever, you talk about with your friends?
Speaker B:Ag Food.
Speaker B:I have a problem with food.
Speaker B:I have a physical.
Speaker A:Do you stress about it?
Speaker B:Yes, it's a.
Speaker B:It's a physical reaction.
Speaker A:Seafood, either.
Speaker D:Food?
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Why not?
Speaker B:Because it's like I said, man.
Speaker B:It's just like if I'm sitting here and I could be trying, like, physically try.
Speaker B:It's almost like if you've seen somebody, like, depicted in a movie or if you've actually known or seen somebody even yourself, have a drug problem on a small scale, like, mechanically, it's the same thing.
Speaker A:Gotcha.
Speaker B:If I don't eat, like, if I have to try not to eat, it's not like I can sit around.
Speaker B:Like, I can't.
Speaker B:Like, if I'm a upset, like, super upset, I might be Able to go, you know, a couple days or whatever.
Speaker B:But I'm just talking about just living life.
Speaker B:None's really wrong.
Speaker B:Nothing's really right.
Speaker B:It's just kind of life.
Speaker B:Me and food, man.
Speaker B:Oh, my.
Speaker B:Especially when it's available.
Speaker B:Like at work, we have a little, you know, we have.
Speaker B:We got a break room, obviously, but it's like they have machines in there.
Speaker B:They have burgers.
Speaker B:They have this or that or the other.
Speaker B:I cannot be hungry.
Speaker B:Hungry.
Speaker B:And I still cannot resist at least a bag of chips.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker B:I don't know how many times I've been like, okay, on Monday, you're going to start.
Speaker B:On the first of this month, you're going to start.
Speaker B:At this point, you're going to start.
Speaker B:And I never do.
Speaker B:Hardly ever.
Speaker B:I have.
Speaker B:But I'm telling you, man, I'm always on the edge.
Speaker B:Like, even when I'm doing well, losing the weight, I want to lose whatever it is, you know, feeling better, all the things I am constantly on the edge.
Speaker B:So that's why I characterized it like, you know, if you're an alcoholic or you have a drug addiction, you live moment by moment.
Speaker B:There's not a moment where you're not thinking about food.
Speaker B:In my case, like, for them, there's not a moment that you're not thinking about the next high or you're not thinking about the next drink or some.
Speaker B:Some people both, you know.
Speaker B:And I'm telling you, it is very hard.
Speaker B:Now, I don't have to talk about it because I live in America.
Speaker B:I live in America.
Speaker B:America.
Speaker B:And I am shielded and disguised from having a problem because it's America and we're all fat.
Speaker B:And when I say that, I mean, it's really rare to see somebody fit.
Speaker B:And it's almost.
Speaker B:It's even more rare to see a group of people continually fit.
Speaker B:We are an obese country, hands down.
Speaker B:That means we're second to none of us.
Speaker B:We have the worst versions of the worst food.
Speaker B:We have portion issues.
Speaker B:So I am completely shielded from a lot of shame, except for the shame that comes from myself.
Speaker B:So when I saw that question, I was like, yeah, I don't have to talk about this to anybody else, because everybody around me is out of shape to some degree, and we all make excuses for it.
Speaker B:All of us do so.
Speaker B:And even, really, when we see somebody that's fit, what's the thing?
Speaker B:I hear a lot.
Speaker B:Yeah, you need a cheeseburger.
Speaker B:I'm like, ouch.
Speaker B:Really?
Speaker B:This person looks great and you say they need a cheeseburger?
Speaker B:Yes, who says that, bruh?
Speaker B:You'd be amazed, man.
Speaker B:You'd be amazed.
Speaker A:Really?
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:People.
Speaker B:People having.
Speaker B:I'm telling you, man, people have an adverse reaction to someone who's fit or thin.
Speaker B:They do.
Speaker B:And a lot of it is that internal shame.
Speaker B:So I'm gonna say something crazy, you know, almost like how women, like, say something really bad to.
Speaker B:About their beauty or whatever it is, but the woman they're talking about is stunning, and the only reason they're saying is because they're not.
Speaker B:It's the same thing, man.
Speaker B:It's the same thing.
Speaker B:So like I said, it's just, like, I am shielded from having to be shamed publicly because most people look like me, and most people struggle.
Speaker B:So no one's saying anything.
Speaker B:It's kind of like porn.
Speaker B:It's like no one's gonna say anything about porn because everybody's watching it, and everybody's shameful that they're watching it.
Speaker B:So is it ever gonna get fixed?
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:The only way you can escape it by maybe buying it, you know, buying yourself a VPN service.
Speaker B:But, bro, you're still ashamed.
Speaker A:True that.
Speaker B:And no one's willing to really help you.
Speaker B:Even churches don't really want to help you.
Speaker B:It's a shame thing.
Speaker B:So it's the same thing.
Speaker B:It's just like, me and food have a horrible relationship.
Speaker B:Food is man.
Speaker B:I am man.
Speaker B:I'm telling you, man, I am a simp for food.
Speaker B:Like I said, I could be not hungry and be like, okay, I'm gonna eat some ice cream because it's here.
Speaker B:Or you'll get to the point where I say, okay, I really want some ice cream.
Speaker B:I'm gonna go across the street.
Speaker B:711 Or whatever it is.
Speaker B:So again, like I said before, it's.
Speaker B:It's shameful.
Speaker B:It's lacking discipline.
Speaker B:It's all the things.
Speaker B:And as I get older, this means more, because when I was 20, 30, you know, it's like, whatever, but when your body gets older, it can't handle this crap food that we eat all the time.
Speaker B:Like I said, we.
Speaker B:The.
Speaker B:We have the worst version of the worst foods.
Speaker B:Meaning that you can probably find a little Debbie's oatmeal cream pie in London.
Speaker B:But it's gonna be the best version of that oatmeal cream pie.
Speaker B:The one that we get will kill you.
Speaker B:You do.
Speaker B:Just like Gatorade.
Speaker B:The version of Gatorade that we have in America is not the version of Gatorade that you see overseas.
Speaker B:It's entirely different.
Speaker B:And it's much Healthier and it does a better job, the crap that we drink all the time, bruh.
Speaker B:So that's, that's my answer.
Speaker B:That's why I don't really talk to anybody about it.
Speaker B:It's easy not to.
Speaker B:And that, that's my dirty little secret.
Speaker B:That's not a secret at all.
Speaker A:Awesome.
Speaker A:Appreciate you sharing that.
Speaker B:Yes, sir.
Speaker A:You know, can I be.
Speaker B:I mean, it's a person.
Speaker B:It's pretty personal question.
Speaker B:It's, it's.
Speaker B:You can't escape it being personal.
Speaker B:It's like, yeah, that's deep.
Speaker B:Because when I read it I was like, holy cow, punch me in the face, why don't you?
Speaker A:No, I hear you.
Speaker A:I definitely hear you on that, you know, so thank you, ag.
Speaker B:Yes, sir.
Speaker A:So this was hard for me because I'm fairly open about a lot of things, but I would say the one thing I'm not really open about at all is I really never talk about my mental health.
Speaker A:And the reason why I don't is because, and this is going to sound really callous in what, whatever, I don't really want people like feeling pity for me.
Speaker A:And I know that sounds crazy, but.
Speaker A:Because I know there's a point in my time in my life where my mental health was trash.
Speaker A:Like, it was like, like full grown depression trash.
Speaker A:Like I was functional.
Speaker A:But like, when I wasn't around people, when I was at home by myself, my middle was absolute trash.
Speaker A:So no, I, no one knows what I've done to, to, you know, strengthen my mental health and, and stuff like that.
Speaker A:And I'm not gonna sit here and say it's, yo, man, I'm a plus, tip top.
Speaker A:Nah man, I'm just like everybody else.
Speaker A:The only difference is I would say is I'm a little more aware of mine and I do a really good job of trying to avoid my triggers, right?
Speaker A:So, I mean, you know, a while back, like, I would, I would probably say I'm not a doctor, I'm not a psychiatrist or anything like that, but there's a part of time in my life that I would probably say I was probably clinically depressed, you know, and it wasn't necessarily anything that, That brought it on.
Speaker A:It was just my life was my life at the time.
Speaker A:It was closer to the part where I just found out, you know, a couple years before that I was a type 2 diabetic and you know, I was 370 pounds and you know, and I really just wasn't, I wasn't as positive about life as, as I am today.
Speaker A:Like I was a completely different person.
Speaker A: This is: Speaker A: different person probably in: Speaker A:You know, everything that I was would say makes me what people would consider awesome today.
Speaker A:Nah, man, it wasn't about that.
Speaker A:It was about literally just waking up, going to work, coming home, going to bed, waking up, going to work.
Speaker A:Like that was my life for a while.
Speaker A:And, you know, it's taken a. I've gotten lucky a couple times.
Speaker A:I, you know, was able to pull myself together.
Speaker A:You know, I had some help from.
Speaker A:Some people have no idea, you know, their influence helped me.
Speaker A:Just stuff like that is just.
Speaker A:It's shit's hard, bro.
Speaker A:And so I think right now I get.
Speaker A:And I hate to say it like this, but I'm gonna say it like this, man.
Speaker A:I get really pissed off when people out here faking mental health, like it's some.
Speaker A:Because when it's all, you know, because, you know, with this covert thing, oh, mental health, the buzzword, blah, blah.
Speaker A:I'm not gonna sit here and say there weren't a lot of people who had issues with that.
Speaker A:I'm not gonna say that.
Speaker A:But will say there are some who didn't and they just use as an excuse to get by or whatever.
Speaker A:And I mean my, My words to them is just like, I mean, fuck you and the horse you rode on.
Speaker A:Like, you know, it's mental health, man.
Speaker A:Like real mental health.
Speaker A:Like, I did not go about it the right way.
Speaker A:I should have went and talked to somebody.
Speaker A:I should not have.
Speaker A:I should not have lived inside silence.
Speaker A:Like I did all the things you shouldn't have done that I shouldn't have done.
Speaker A:But, you know, I got lucky.
Speaker A:I got lucky.
Speaker A:There are some changes in my life that happened completely unexpected and it allowed me to find a sense of self that I was then able to build from.
Speaker A:So like, yeah, man, I don't sit here and talk about it.
Speaker A:And today, like, I am, I am a very positive person.
Speaker A:And it's not an act, it's.
Speaker A:I have to live this way.
Speaker A:Like I have to live to the point where I'm not saying don't happen.
Speaker A:That's not true.
Speaker A:It's not what I'm saying.
Speaker A:But yo, yes, I am kind of an eternal optimist.
Speaker A:You know, a lot of that is because I, you know, a couple things go wrong, I could be eternal six feet under and you know, as someone who is at least thought about doing things to themselves, like, yo, man, when I was younger, that's sucks.
Speaker A:And yeah, I just.
Speaker A:But I don't talk about it, but every.
Speaker A:A lot of people just like, man, you know, you.
Speaker A:You look for the good and everything.
Speaker A:Somebody's got to.
Speaker A:And I don't mind being that person.
Speaker A:I really don't like, because once again, I just feel like.
Speaker A:I feel like that I've been down a path no one should ever go on.
Speaker D:And.
Speaker A:And I don't need to talk about my mental health because honestly, I do things to keep it as stable as it can be.
Speaker A:You know, I'm overly emotional.
Speaker A:I'm a cancer man.
Speaker A:July 6th.
Speaker A:I'm a. I am the physical embodiment of that.
Speaker A:Like, I watch stupid movies and I start crying like the.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker A:I'm that guy.
Speaker A:I am literally that person.
Speaker A:I'm overly emotional.
Speaker A:I feel people's emotions.
Speaker A:That shit's hard, bro.
Speaker A:That is hard.
Speaker A:But this is the life I was given, so I gotta live with it.
Speaker A:And once again, I found a way, you know, I got lucky.
Speaker A:I found a way to deal with it, and I deal with it every day.
Speaker A:And I do, for the most part, get up in the morning and like, hell, yeah, let's go.
Speaker A:You know.
Speaker A:But everybody's got their bad days.
Speaker A:I'm not like, you know, I don't wake up like the joker with a smile on my face every day.
Speaker A:I don't be doing that.
Speaker A:But, like, you know, it's.
Speaker A:You know, I mean, I got.
Speaker A:I'm a type 2 diamond diabetic who has sleep apnea, who sleeps with a oxygen mask on basically every night.
Speaker A:And I'm fat.
Speaker A:I'm two toes short because of some injuries to my feet and all the other things.
Speaker A:Like, bro, there's so many reasons that I could be in a completely different mindset, and it's just like, hey, man, they took two little toes.
Speaker A:They didn't take my foot.
Speaker B:That's a.
Speaker A:That's a victory.
Speaker A:That's a victory, right?
Speaker A:I have a partially torn ACL in my knee.
Speaker A:I found out when I was like, 46, and pretty much I was like, so we doing surgery.
Speaker A:The doctor's like, well, you're over 40.
Speaker A:If we do surgery, I'm just going to break it.
Speaker A:I'm just going to rip it and then refix it.
Speaker A:Or you can just wait till it.
Speaker A:Wait till it breaks itself.
Speaker A:Rips itself.
Speaker A:I'm 53.
Speaker A:I'm still going in this fucking ACL that I got when I was.
Speaker A:I was in college, when I was like, 20.
Speaker A:So, like, yeah, man.
Speaker A:Do I run a lot?
Speaker A:Hell, no.
Speaker A:I'm fat.
Speaker A:This running Shit's over.
Speaker A:Like, I run for my life.
Speaker A:But you know that fight, that flight of fight shit.
Speaker A:Nah, bro, it's a whole bunch of what's in there shit I can pick up, you know, It's.
Speaker B:It's what it is.
Speaker A:And if it's my time, it's my time, man.
Speaker A:It's like.
Speaker A:It's what it is, is, bro, I ain't running from.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:So I can then be tired and then gotta fight?
Speaker A:Nah, you gonna fight me in full energy.
Speaker A:I. I got a chance.
Speaker A:I mean, it's just, you know, things could be very different, you know.
Speaker A:Been in the hospital three times.
Speaker A:Bad beat.
Speaker A:All right, cool.
Speaker A:You know what I did do?
Speaker A:I walked the out the hospital.
Speaker A:Let's go.
Speaker A:You know, so it's like, yeah, man, it's everybody, you know, Everybody.
Speaker A:Somebody who claims like mental health,.
Speaker C:I.
Speaker A:Feel like maybe half of that shit's legit.
Speaker A:And that's.
Speaker A:And that's the thing that kills me the most, you know?
Speaker A:Yeah, Covid sucked, bro.
Speaker A:Co was horrible for everybody.
Speaker A:You know, kids got left back, you know, social.
Speaker A:Social interaction went down to an all time low.
Speaker A:Like, we don't know how to fucking talk to people your age.
Speaker A:Like 20, 23.
Speaker A:Like, what are we doing?
Speaker A:So, yeah, man, I was single during COVID So I would, you know, the one thing I get to see every day myself in the mirror, you know, is what it is.
Speaker A:And you know what I did?
Speaker A:I got up and took my happy ass and walked around the complex for like two miles every day just so I could get outside, you know, so I could get that vitamin D, you know, I. I couldn't go to the gym there.
Speaker A:They close that.
Speaker A:Because out here, you know, walking around without masks and like, this ain't real.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:Like, hey, hey, you know what?
Speaker A:If it's not real, do what?
Speaker A:Do what the man told you to do and drink that bleach.
Speaker A:We'll see how real that is after that, you know, because if you.
Speaker A:If the bleach kills the shit on your hands, it'll kill the shit in your body.
Speaker A:What kind of dumbass shit is that?
Speaker B:Hey, don't forget to light up your butt.
Speaker A:Oh, man.
Speaker A:What the.
Speaker B:I'm just saying, you can't forget that part.
Speaker A:I can't forget that.
Speaker A:Yo, man, see, that's the thing, man.
Speaker A:That's the thing that kills me the most.
Speaker A:It's like, you want to sit here and debunk that you can't debunk yet you're willing to listen to this fruitcake?
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Tell you to drink bleach 100.
Speaker A:I mean, yeah, whatever, man.
Speaker A:Like, just miss me with all the dumb.
Speaker A:Because when it's all said and done, man, there are a whole lot of people, real talk.
Speaker A:There are a whole lot of people who, who really just don't.
Speaker A:Aren't lucky enough.
Speaker A:Lucky enough, strong enough, whatever you want to call it, enough to fight their demons and win.
Speaker A:They're not.
Speaker A:And it's in the sad, you know, all because, hey, man, somebody didn't call them and tell them that they love them.
Speaker A:You know, somebody didn't be like, hey man, how you doing?
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's so easy to.
Speaker A:To help someone, you know, even if they look like they're going through some just be like, yo, man, everything good.
Speaker A:Because you never know the fact that somebody even says that will allow that person to be like, somebody sees me.
Speaker A:And so, yeah, man, is.
Speaker A:Is mental health is a real, real thing.
Speaker A:And it pisses me off when people play with it.
Speaker A:So, no, I don't sit here and, and talk about it and what they say.
Speaker A:Talk your truth.
Speaker A:My truth is I'm still right here.
Speaker A:That's my truth.
Speaker A:Like, and I don't need to prove it to you or anybody else.
Speaker A:Like, I do the work.
Speaker A:I do the work that I think I need to do, you know, I take time for myself.
Speaker A:I talk to people.
Speaker A:I go out as much as I can.
Speaker A:You know, the I do.
Speaker A:I'm talking to people every damn day.
Speaker A:Like, so, yeah, you got to put yourself in position sometimes to save yourself.
Speaker A:But it doesn't hurt if somebody sees that you're in some sort of pain and they want to help you too.
Speaker A:So all these people out here.
Speaker A:I'm not going to work today.
Speaker A:I'm going to call a mental health day.
Speaker A:Shut up.
Speaker A:Like, I hope your day is horrible.
Speaker B:You don't know how often that happens.
Speaker B:Happens, bro.
Speaker B:No, man, that's the problem all the time.
Speaker B:Yeah, you know what?
Speaker B:I guess you do.
Speaker B:You in your position, you do know.
Speaker A:That, bro, man, and I just like.
Speaker A:And I just want to smack him upside the head like, gives.
Speaker A:You should do the noso on nci.
Speaker A:Nci, man.
Speaker A:It's just people be playing with they don't know about and it.
Speaker A:And that part bothers me because you.
Speaker B:Don't know what people have been through.
Speaker A:Through.
Speaker A:You don't know what people are going through.
Speaker A:So for you to pretend that, oh, I can't go to work day, I want to go shopping.
Speaker A:I'm going to call it mental health day.
Speaker A:What?
Speaker A:Whatever, man.
Speaker A:Like, you do you.
Speaker A:I hope you don't get hit by a car.
Speaker A:Like, that's kind of it.
Speaker A:But also, I'm saying, man, it's like, yeah, yeah, Ag.
Speaker A:I mean, I don't really talk about it because for what, you know, I could.
Speaker B:There are plenty of reasons to talk about it, though.
Speaker B:Well, yeah, just like what you're saying now is probably helping somebody.
Speaker A:Well, I hope so.
Speaker A:But like, for me, you know, I guess the thing is, it's like, I feel like I went the long way around because honestly, if you have access to a therapist, you need to do that shit.
Speaker A:And these days, everybody's got access to a damn therapist, whether it's in person or through your phone or whatever.
Speaker A:Like, we had that back in the day.
Speaker A:I couldn't call.
Speaker A:I couldn't be Michael Phelps or call somebody up and be like, hey, can we talk?
Speaker A:Because I think I'm gonna do something to myself.
Speaker A:Nah, man, they got all that today.
Speaker A:Like, and that's the thing that bothers me the most, is because you have all this stuff to help you.
Speaker A:All you gotta do is want to be helped.
Speaker A:And that's really the hard part part.
Speaker A:If you can get to the fact that you decide that you want to be helped, I mean, you're.
Speaker A:You're halfway there.
Speaker A:It's just like, you know, if.
Speaker A:If you're, like you said, you're addicted to food.
Speaker A:Once you realize you're addicted, food.
Speaker A:All right, shit, we know what's up now.
Speaker A:How are we going to deal with it?
Speaker A:And put a lot of people who are just like.
Speaker A:Or you got a lot of people who are like.
Speaker A:Or a lot of people who are just like, man, this.
Speaker A:Man, I. I ain't going to work.
Speaker A:I ain't doing this because my mental health is jacked up.
Speaker A:And then play video games all day.
Speaker D:What?
Speaker A:No, you just want to play video games all day.
Speaker A:Like now, now what I will say is that's your.
Speaker B:Your release.
Speaker A:That's cool.
Speaker A:Just realize there are other going on in this world.
Speaker A:Like, you got to get a job or you can't play video games because you can't afford that.
Speaker A:Like, let's be real.
Speaker A:So, yeah, man, like, if.
Speaker A:If you are having issues and you.
Speaker C:Feel.
Speaker A:Extremely negative towards yourself, holla at somebody.
Speaker A:There are so many avenues these days.
Speaker A:I think was like 988, you dial a text, nine eight, that's a suicide prevention hotline.
Speaker A:You know, if you need to talk to your professional professional, you can get a free, like, consultation.
Speaker A:Just put that in Google.
Speaker A:Like, I Think it's better help or something?
Speaker A:Like, there are so many ways that you can get help now.
Speaker A:My only ask is, don't wait around before something bad happens.
Speaker A:Just do that.
Speaker A:I mean.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:Is it hard?
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:You know, it's going to be one of the biggest decisions you're gonna make your life.
Speaker A:But I promise you, like, all you gotta do, all you gotta get to is a light in the.
Speaker A:In that tunnel.
Speaker A:It may not be at the end of the tunnel, it might be in the middle, but once you see that little candle, you realize that you can get to the other end with that little camera candle.
Speaker A:And as you go, it will continue to light up.
Speaker A:This is not something that you'll be done with in two days or three days or 20 hours or whatever.
Speaker A:This is shit you got to do every day.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's almost like it's a negative addiction.
Speaker A:All I'm saying is this, you know, reach out because nobody can want it for you.
Speaker A:You got to want it for yourself more than anybody else can want it for you.
Speaker A:I promise you that.
Speaker A:And, yeah, and.
Speaker A:But yeah, Ag.
Speaker A:I don't.
Speaker A:I don't talk to my friends about it because.
Speaker A:I think at one point in time, I think it was a badge of honor or a badge that you didn't really want people to see.
Speaker A:It was almost like scarlet letter.
Speaker A:Oh, oh, you.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker A:You were.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker A:You think you were.
Speaker A:Had mental health issues.
Speaker A:Like, it was such a scarlet letter back in the day.
Speaker A:Now it's a little bit more accepted to a point.
Speaker A:So, yeah, that's all I'm saying.
Speaker A:If you.
Speaker A:If you hear me, it's.
Speaker A:You're not happy with your life, holler somebody.
Speaker A:Even if it's even still one of your friends would be like, yeah, I'm not feeling good about, can we talk?
Speaker A:And if that person is your friend, they will shut the up and listen to you.
Speaker A:And that's what it is.
Speaker A:But other than that, if you can't tell anybody that you love, that you need help, you can call or text 988.
Speaker A:That's a suicide professional hotline.
Speaker A:And there are people who have either A, gone through that or B, want to make sure that you have a chance.
Speaker A:But the last.
Speaker A:The one thing you don't do is have a conversation with AI about how you feel about this.
Speaker A:Don't do that.
Speaker A:That We've been through that and people are.
Speaker A:AI Is telling people to do to themselves.
Speaker B:AI people.
Speaker A:People.
Speaker A:You know, what are we doing?
Speaker A:Like, that's just real.
Speaker A:Talk to somebody with a heart A physical heart got some blood rushing through them.
Speaker A:They may not have no legs, they may not have no arms, but they there, you know, that's all I'm saying.
Speaker A:Like.
Speaker A:So yeah, that's me.
Speaker A:But yeah.
Speaker A:So that being said, AG was on you mind, bro.
Speaker B:Don't, don't drink mountain dew after 8:00'.
Speaker A:Clock.
Speaker B:I'm real talk, bro, real talk.
Speaker B:Cuz usually what will happen on the weekend or if I have a day off, I don't have anything going on.
Speaker B:I just, I don't know what it is.
Speaker B:I just veg out after my wife feels asleep and I'm just watching TV or whatever.
Speaker B:Usually till like 2 or 3 in the morning, but usually I just kind of start nodding off or whatever.
Speaker B:So I'm like, take it behind the bed.
Speaker B:Oh, okay.
Speaker B:Well, it was like 4:30 in the morning.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker B:And I'm like, okay, just go to bed.
Speaker B:I wasn't feeling sleepy, but I told myself, just go to bed because it's getting late.
Speaker B:I mean, she's about to get up to go running at this point.
Speaker B:So I'm like, just go to bed.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker B:And so I went to bed.
Speaker A:Shout out to Boola.
Speaker B:I know, right?
Speaker B:She's, she's, she's consistent with this too.
Speaker B:But anyway, I went to bed and I'm looking at the ceiling, tossing and turning, just looking at the ceiling, looking around.
Speaker B:I'm like, what in the world's going on?
Speaker B:So she gets up and she's like, hey, so enjoy your run, whatever.
Speaker B:And then she's getting ready.
Speaker B:So why are you still up?
Speaker B:I, I don't know.
Speaker B:I thought I was gonna, I don't know.
Speaker B:And so she got back and I'm just still up.
Speaker B:This is like about like 6:30, 6:30 or 6:00', clock, something like that.
Speaker B:And he said, she said to me, you know what?
Speaker B:It was all that Mountain Dew you had because we had pizza last night and it came with a deal where you got a liter of Mountain Dew.
Speaker B:And I finished it off like around 10.
Speaker B:I didn't think any of it.
Speaker B:I just didn't want it around for today.
Speaker B:So I just finished it off around I think about nine or 10.
Speaker B:And she was like, that's your problem.
Speaker B:You drink all that Mountain Dew.
Speaker B:And I was like, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, bruh, bruh.
Speaker B:That stuff.
Speaker B:If you're, if you're not a regular drinker of like super sugary caffeinated drinks, don't do it.
Speaker B:I hadn't had a Mountain Dew in a year and a half or More.
Speaker B:Don't do it.
Speaker B:Not after 8 o' clock because you will be up all night.
Speaker B:So don't drink mountain dew after 8 o'.
Speaker C:Clock.
Speaker B:That's what's on my mind because I still haven't gone to sleep since last night.
Speaker A:Oh, Jesus Christ.
Speaker B:I've been up.
Speaker B:I have been up for 24, I think.
Speaker B:No, that's not true.
Speaker B:I actually did go to sleep around 8 o'.
Speaker A:Clock.
Speaker B:I got up around 10.
Speaker B:So just don't do it.
Speaker B:Unless you're a trained professional, don't do it.
Speaker A:Yo, man, first of all, Yes, I've done that shit before.
Speaker B:So you know what I'm talking about.
Speaker A:Not Mountain Dew, that.
Speaker A:I never drink that shit.
Speaker A:That shit's death.
Speaker A:I will take my chances with food, lion soda, grape soda and orange soda before I drink Mountain Dew.
Speaker A:Because I am, I am.
Speaker A:I am convinced there is something else they put in that shit.
Speaker B:Oh, it's all terrible stuff.
Speaker A:I mean, like, the sugar content is actually lower than like the orange or grape.
Speaker A:But, you know, what is it?
Speaker A:It's that caffeine intake, man.
Speaker A:Yeah, I don't know how much they put in it.
Speaker A:I believe that labels lying.
Speaker B:Well, it's not lying because they would get sued and fined, but it's.
Speaker B:It's enough of the truth to not get sued or fined.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's like, this is not.
Speaker A:It's not.
Speaker A:It's not the sugar to keep me up.
Speaker A:It's the fucking caffeine.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:That's why people.
Speaker B:That's why truckers drink it.
Speaker B:That's why people are on road trips or, or students trying to.
Speaker B:Before there was Adderall and all that stuff.
Speaker B:Mountain Dew was the one before Red.
Speaker A:Bull Mountain itself is death.
Speaker B:Like, you're not wrong.
Speaker A:I can't.
Speaker A:I will drink Coca Cola and Pepsi before I touch Mountain Dew.
Speaker B:Is that.
Speaker A:There's something else in that.
Speaker A:Yo, man.
Speaker A:Nah, I feel you, though.
Speaker A:There's some times when the body is like, you dog, you stand up and it's just like.
Speaker B:Is that what it says?
Speaker A:I mean, because, man, I'll be doing.
Speaker A:I'll figure out some to do and that, I mean, and I said it earlier, I have my CPAP machine, man.
Speaker A:It's a gift.
Speaker A:It's not really.
Speaker A:The only curse part about it is like, well, it's cool because I live by myself right now and I don't have a significant other.
Speaker A:But, yo, I gotta figure out something because if I get a significant other, that shit's not attractive, so.
Speaker B:Well, the good thing is you're not alone in the world.
Speaker B:A lot of people wear them.
Speaker A:Yeah, but you know what I'm not gonna do?
Speaker A:I'm not gonna have them implant something in my body and I push a button and go to sleep.
Speaker A:That.
Speaker B:You mean you don't want a push button matrix?
Speaker A:Nah, man, because see, here's the problem.
Speaker A:The problem with that, that is your significant other going to get mad at your ass and push the button.
Speaker A:Push the button, your ass go to sleep.
Speaker A:I. I refuse to give anybody that kind of power, bro.
Speaker B:Well, well, you don't have to tell them about it.
Speaker A:I mean, if you're sleeping with them, they.
Speaker A:Unless you keep hiding a button.
Speaker A:Yeah, but what are they gonna find that?
Speaker A:Cuz they Snoopy.
Speaker A:What the is this?
Speaker B:Don't marry some.
Speaker B:Somebody's nosy.
Speaker A:I mean, you'll be out there cutting the grass.
Speaker A:Your head just fall out.
Speaker B:What do you say, bro?
Speaker A:I can't, man.
Speaker A:I can't.
Speaker A:I. I have too much of control freak to allow that to happen.
Speaker B:Come on, you are.
Speaker A:I mean, was it inspire, like it inspires me to use a cpap, man.
Speaker B:What are you talking about right now, man?
Speaker A:I don't, bruh, You've seen those commercials.
Speaker A:They hit the button and next thing you know they all knock the out, man.
Speaker A:Bro, because if you think that unless.
Speaker A:Unless there's a geofence around it where it only happens when they're in that bed, that's one thing.
Speaker A:But if that.
Speaker A:Hey, man, I don't like the way you talk to me.
Speaker A:Nah, man, that.
Speaker B:Hey, Reuben, how about you shut your pie hole, right?
Speaker A:I will not.
Speaker A:I would not.
Speaker A:I mean, basically you got a TV remote inside your body, bro, somebody can turn off, man, that ain't cool.
Speaker A:You know what kind of trust you gotta have with your significant other to have some like that kind of trust in me?
Speaker A:No, buddy.
Speaker B:Are you sure?
Speaker A:Nah, I'm pretty sure.
Speaker A:Nah, because, oh, man, they be saying that you put you to sleep immediately.
Speaker A:You know, it also puts me to sleep immediately.
Speaker A:Immediately.
Speaker A:My fucking cpap.
Speaker A:I put that shit on, I'm out in like two minutes.
Speaker A:It's the greatest ever.
Speaker A:Like, if I want to go to bed, I'm from half tired.
Speaker A:I put that bitch on later, like, and.
Speaker A:And then I wake up with it on and shit's great.
Speaker A:Not really.
Speaker A:I got a fucking mask on my face.
Speaker A:But, you know, once again I woke up.
Speaker A:So I'm happy about that part because once you go get tested, sleep apnea, man, and they start showing you numbers and shit.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's almost like a scare straight, bro.
Speaker A:Hey, if you don't wear this, you going to die, all right?
Speaker B:We going to die.
Speaker B:I mean, I don't know if it's that drastic, sir.
Speaker A:So here's.
Speaker A:Here's what they get you with, man.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:I'm not going to say get you, but this is what they got my ass with because you got to take home the take home test.
Speaker B:Okay, cool.
Speaker A:Whatever.
Speaker A:Whatever.
Speaker A:So what it does is show the ek.
Speaker A:EKG part.
Speaker A:Shows you all the time you're sleeping.
Speaker A:Yeah, it drops.
Speaker A:Oh, that time you weren't breathing.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker A:And then it's just like.
Speaker A:Like, for me, no craziness.
Speaker A:No craziness.
Speaker A:They said that out of an hour, I was breathing like 42 minutes.
Speaker B:Like, are you serious?
Speaker A:For like 18 minutes.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Holy cow, bro.
Speaker A:And so I was like, yeah, when can I get that?
Speaker A:I mean, because I mean, you know, sleep apnea.
Speaker A:I don't.
Speaker A:I don't know how it happens.
Speaker A:I. I couldn't tell you why I have it.
Speaker A:I guess I would say it's because I'm fat, but that's not necessarily true.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:Because actually I meant to tell you that I know people that are reasonable size.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:That have sleep apnea.
Speaker B:And I didn't know that was a true thing.
Speaker B:I. I thought it was all.
Speaker B:I thought it was a fat people cornered market, bro.
Speaker A:When he showed me how much time that I was sleeping and how much time I wasn't.
Speaker A:Like, literally, it was almost like.
Speaker A:It wasn't like 20 minutes at a time, but it was like, you know, a minute here, a minute there.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:But, bro, literally, the way I. I see it, my body was shocking me back to life consistently.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Because literally you would.
Speaker A:It's not.
Speaker A:Your heart would stop getting oxygen.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:But then it went, oh, motherfucker, wake up.
Speaker A:It's like.
Speaker A:And then I would wake up like, shit.
Speaker A:Because it's like.
Speaker A:Well, yeah, because half the time you're not sleep, you know, you're dead.
Speaker A:Like, I mean, you're not dead, but it's just like.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:It's like, really, bro?
Speaker A:You know, you're testing your heart.
Speaker A:So in the CPAP just, it basically what it does, it.
Speaker A:It keeps your air, you know, keeps getting air force flowing to you regardless of if you stop or not.
Speaker A:There's always air constantly flowing.
Speaker A:And because I move around a lot because that's.
Speaker A:Once again, sleep apnea.
Speaker A:And I'm fat, I move around.
Speaker A:Like, there'd be times back in the day that I would wake up completely, like, turned around in bed because my body was just moving me to get to a point where I could breathe.
Speaker A:Breathe.
Speaker A:And once I started using this same spot, baby.
Speaker A:Now I do move around a little bit, but I don't.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker A:And then of course, you know, with my watch.
Speaker A:My watch tracks my sleep.
Speaker A:So I get to.
Speaker A:I get to look at that, huh?
Speaker A:How many times you've been restless, how long you've been in REM sleep, how.
Speaker A:How much time you want.
Speaker A:You weren't sleep at all.
Speaker A:How much time you didn't breathe low.
Speaker A:I like when that says less than zero.
Speaker A:And it's just like.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's.
Speaker A:If I got to be on CPAP for the rest of my life, it's just a shitty fashion statement, but I'm gonna use that.
Speaker A:And the only thing that really sucks is I have to have a full mask because along with my big ass nose, like, I'm also a mouth breather.
Speaker A:So what would happen is I would have it in my nose, but then, you know, I start breathing through my mouth or I'd stop breathing through my mouth and that still up.
Speaker A:So I was like, it.
Speaker B:Let's.
Speaker A:We're gonna put the whole joint on me like this.
Speaker A:And so that works.
Speaker A:I like waking up the next day.
Speaker A:I'm a fan of that.
Speaker B:Well, I mean, I'm just glad you're breathing more than 42 minutes an hour.
Speaker A:Oh, man.
Speaker B:Yo, that's gotta be scary to hear somebody tell you that.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:I mean, once again, you know.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's pretty scary.
Speaker A:It's scary that.
Speaker A:The scariest part about it is you realize how much you put your body through.
Speaker A:And because of that, you know, you could mess up your internal organs because you're putting your body through that it shouldn't be going through.
Speaker A:And, you know, I'll say this until.
Speaker A:Until I can't.
Speaker A:I mean, you know, ag, Me and you, we're cousins, you know, bro, we got some pretty good genetics.
Speaker A:We agree around here.
Speaker A:For the most part, for a minute, unless we hit by a bus or something.
Speaker B:I mean, we'll be.
Speaker B:Yeah, I imagine we'll be killed before we're.
Speaker B:Before we die.
Speaker B:Natural causes or some sort of disease or whatever.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:Yeah, I agree.
Speaker A:So, yeah, man, it's just like we get one.
Speaker A:We get one body, we gotta take care of this.
Speaker A:So that's where I'm at.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Yeah, so I guess I'll segue that into my.
Speaker A:What's on my mind.
Speaker A:So we're weak.
Speaker A:Two.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Week two of the fool I got a trainer.
Speaker A:Well, I joined One life.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:Got a trainer.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:For three months.
Speaker A:You know, I've seen him.
Speaker A:This is the last week or the, the second time I've seen him that I'm paying for.
Speaker A:I went to the gym three times last week.
Speaker A:He's got a.
Speaker A:He's.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:He has an app and he puts like exercise thing in it.
Speaker B:Okay, okay.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Because, hey, man, when it's all said and done, I don't know what the I'm doing in there on my own words, but like, that shit tells me exactly what to do, okay?
Speaker A:And I do that.
Speaker B:So why do you need a trainer if you have all this automated stuff?
Speaker A:No, that's.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:It's his app, so he runs it.
Speaker B:Oh, okay.
Speaker A:So he puts, he puts activities for me to do.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:We do a warm up, we do like six or seven activities and then we do a cool down and then I go get on the hydro bed and that shit's awesome.
Speaker A:But yeah, so.
Speaker A:Nah, man, I just.
Speaker A:The biggest thing is like, information.
Speaker A:I need to learn how to do stuff.
Speaker A:So once I'm done in three months, I can do myself, you know, hopefully by then I will learn how to do certain things.
Speaker A:Because, look, man, the gym is a scary world if you don't know how to manipulate it.
Speaker A:There's a whole bunch of talent walking around and that's awesome, right?
Speaker A:But you don't want to do that.
Speaker A:Affects one part, but then it up another part.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:And that's my thing.
Speaker A:It's like, you know, we did leg day one day, man.
Speaker A:But he gave me some good information.
Speaker A:Don't do your split leg day in two days.
Speaker A:So once again, you don't need a wheelchair trying to walk out the gym.
Speaker A:And it's brilliant, right?
Speaker A:It makes sense.
Speaker A:I do a lot of groundwork, which I absolutely hate.
Speaker A:But guess what?
Speaker A:Fat ass has got to do it.
Speaker A:So it is what it is.
Speaker A:Yeah, man, I.
Speaker A:It just tells me what to do and I follow what it tells me.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:You know, so this week, you know, my goal is to go to the gym four times a week.
Speaker A:That's my goal.
Speaker A:And I'm gonna try to keep going.
Speaker A:You know, we're starting with a.
Speaker A:A little bit of a caloric intake level, trying to lose a pound a week.
Speaker A:I'm fine with that.
Speaker A:I'm not weighing myself today, so I don't know.
Speaker A:But I mean, I feel better, you know, and I be feeling that shit, man.
Speaker A:Like when I, when I do do arms, when I get up in the Morning.
Speaker A:My arms feel like two ton bricks.
Speaker A:That's good.
Speaker A:That's awesome.
Speaker B:Exactly.
Speaker A:And it's funny because he was, we were at the gym, he was like, how you feeling?
Speaker A:I was like, you know what?
Speaker A:There's, there's pain here, you know, he was kind of, he was kind of laughing a little bit, but I was like, look, I know what I'm getting into.
Speaker A:If I don't feel the pain, I'm worried about why, you know, because it took me a very long time to grab that.
Speaker A:This body.
Speaker A:It's not, it's going to take me a while to fix this body, so I gotta, I gotta go through it all and you know, because I think that's what scares people when like, oh, my, my abs hurt.
Speaker A:You just did app day.
Speaker A:Your abs hurt.
Speaker A:I'm not going back to the gym.
Speaker A:I mean, cool.
Speaker A:And then you're gonna have a membership and you'll use it for five, for like five or six days.
Speaker A:And you're stuck in a year and gotta pay that shit.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Nah, man, I'm, I'm about it, you know, I gotta pay for a trainer.
Speaker A:I'm paying for a trainer.
Speaker A:So at least got me for three months because if I don't go throughout the week, it shows because usually I work at him on Fridays.
Speaker A:Okay, It'll show on Friday, you know, so now he's awesome, though.
Speaker A:He's really awesome.
Speaker A:You know, all I've said, once again, you know, know we've talked a little bit in the past about getting out of our comfort zones.
Speaker A:Hey, man, there's nothing that says getting out of your comfort zone than a fat dude laying on the ground.
Speaker A:And you gotta, you gotta push your pelvis up into the air 12 times and you're just like, they're probably looking at me like, what the is that fat guy doing?
Speaker A:But you know what?
Speaker A:They're probably not.
Speaker A:And that's the thing.
Speaker A:And if they are, who cares?
Speaker A:Like, it's just what it is, man.
Speaker A:Because when I gotta do planks for 20 seconds and I sit there and I'm on my, on my forearms and I feel like I'm gonna have a child, yo.
Speaker A:I mean, you gotta have a child.
Speaker A:Yo, can you guys do it three times?
Speaker A:20 Seconds, bro.
Speaker A:Each time.
Speaker B:Listen, 20 seconds.
Speaker B:Not bad.
Speaker A:You right.
Speaker A:When you're not fat.
Speaker A:Okay, look, man, see, that's the thing, man.
Speaker A:I can say it's because I'm fat.
Speaker A:The ground is not your friend.
Speaker A:Gravity is a little bit stronger.
Speaker A:Closer you are to the, to the, more to the Cold of the.
Speaker B:Of the world.
Speaker A:So, like, when I get on the ground, I ain't trying to get up, but you don't got choices.
Speaker A:And so.
Speaker A:So I've been.
Speaker A:I've been doing well, getting myself up, man.
Speaker A:But it's just like, I'm not like, kip up in or nothing, because if I was kip upping, first of all, that shit would be awesome as fuck.
Speaker A:But the second part is I wouldn't need a gym if I was kip upping because I'd just be that dude.
Speaker A:But yeah, man, like, I'm out of my comfort zone when I'm in there.
Speaker A:And now I'm to the point where I truly don't give two fucks about who's in there and doing stuff.
Speaker A:But there's a lot of talent in the gym, and it's okay to.
Speaker A:It's okay to look at that talent.
Speaker A:However, it's not okay to stare at that talent.
Speaker B:So I love when you use talent.
Speaker B:I love it when you use talent.
Speaker A:Yeah, I mean, it's what it is, man.
Speaker A:Because see, here's the thing.
Speaker A:The reason why I use talent is because anybody.
Speaker A:Anybody can use it.
Speaker A:If you're a woman, you can say talent.
Speaker A:If you're a dude, you can say talent.
Speaker A:When it's all said and done.
Speaker A:Gay, straight, whatever.
Speaker A:Unless you like animals, you can use the word talent.
Speaker B:Talent is universal.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:Except for animals.
Speaker A:You don't have that in the gym.
Speaker A:And that's a whole different category of that I don't want to talk about because I don't know nothing about that.
Speaker A:But yeah, man, I mean, the talent helps me keep going, but the talent doesn't make me want to go, like, make me want to go faster or go harder.
Speaker A:It's just like.
Speaker A:Like you're doing that sit up and then you see some talent walk right across.
Speaker A:Let me go ahead and finish these sit ups.
Speaker B:Does the talent motivate you, sir?
Speaker A:Sometimes.
Speaker A:Not all the time, I would say, because I'm not there for the talent.
Speaker A:So I'm there really to bust my ass and leave.
Speaker A:So we're getting better at that.
Speaker A:We're down to.
Speaker A:We're down to about an hour and doing this stuff.
Speaker A:Hopefully I can get to like a half hour, you know, that'll be great because time is important to me.
Speaker A:And last Wednesday I was half assing it.
Speaker A:I was in that for two hours, man.
Speaker A:I was unhappy.
Speaker A:I was.
Speaker A:I was back out there and I left at 10, man.
Speaker A:I was just like, I wasn't ready mentally.
Speaker A:I Wasn't there physically.
Speaker A:I was just going through the motions, man.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:You know, because the goal is to do the exercises.
Speaker A:And my reward is that hydro bed.
Speaker A:That shit's awesome.
Speaker A:If I could own one in my house, I would.
Speaker A:But I'm poor, so I can't.
Speaker A:But I pay to use at the gym, and that is my reward.
Speaker A:I don't fucking get food as a reward.
Speaker A:I get to lay in that bitch for 10 minutes.
Speaker A:Lay on that for 10 minutes as water beats down the back of my body.
Speaker A:Glorious.
Speaker A:If I didn't have that, man, I'd probably be hurting the next every, every day after.
Speaker A:But for the most part, man, that beats me up.
Speaker A:We're good in the hood, but going back to everything.
Speaker A:Get out of your comfort zone, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker A:That's how you become a better everything.
Speaker A:Not just a better person, just a better everything.
Speaker A:Because you learned some you didn't learn.
Speaker A:I learned that nobody gives a about you in the gym, and you need to stop worrying about that.
Speaker A:And if they do give a about you in the gym, then they can come holl at you, you know?
Speaker A:But until that day happens, nobody gives a about me in the gym.
Speaker A:I mean, whether I'm laying down on a mat, thrusting my pelvis up in the.
Speaker A:In the ceiling, looking like a damn idiot, or, you know, just doing simple.
Speaker A:You know, they got this thing, this bug thing where I have to put my arms and legs in the air and then stretch it and.
Speaker A:And I'm just like, if somebody's looking at security, they're like, look at that fat guy.
Speaker A:Terrible.
Speaker A:But you know what?
Speaker A:That.
Speaker A:Man, that kicks my ass every day.
Speaker A:So, like, hey, man, all I'm saying, saying is, you know, it's not about getting my summer body, baby.
Speaker A:It's about getting my winter body.
Speaker A:Because, hey, man, yeah, once I.
Speaker A:If I.
Speaker A:You know, my goal was 250.
Speaker A:Let's get to 275.
Speaker A:I can get to 275.
Speaker A:I'll be sexy.
Speaker A:I get 250.
Speaker A:I'll be sexier.
Speaker B:True.
Speaker A:And you know, I agree.
Speaker A:And I mean, people can say what they want, but, yo, man, people don't want no fat dude.
Speaker A:Like, that's just for me.
Speaker D:You.
Speaker B:You're not wrong.
Speaker A:I mean, even she fat, man, they don't want to fatty.
Speaker A:And I don't want no fat girl.
Speaker A:I mean, I like my girl to have some.
Speaker A:Some meat, but, you know.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Ain't about that life.
Speaker A:Nobody's about that life, you know?
Speaker A:And I figure if I start the gym in the middle of the summer.
Speaker A:Like in the summer.
Speaker A:Then I don't go through the whole new year, new me, you know, blah blah blah.
Speaker A:And stop going after week three.
Speaker A:This way I'm financially locked with a trainer for three weeks, three months.
Speaker A:Okay, I can either waste my money that or I can go go to his trainings, you know, which is fine.
Speaker A:But then when it's about when nobody's watching, man, I'm all, I'm imping that, man.
Speaker A:I'll be up in that 7 o' clock at night.
Speaker A:I don't give a. I go do my.
Speaker A:Take my happy ass home, you know, then I can, then I can lay on the couch because I did some today.
Speaker A:True.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:And I sleep better and I feel better.
Speaker A:I'm still working on the food part, but gotta start somewhere so.
Speaker B:Understood.
Speaker A:With that being said, thank you for everyone for listening to a brand new episode of Five Minute Warning.

Speaker B:Nugeman25.
Speaker B:You can listen to the podcast at Apple Podcast, Spotify or wherever you get your podcast.
Speaker B:Thank you for listening.
Speaker B:This has been another episode of.
Speaker A:The five Minute Warning.
Speaker D:John was so nice to me.
Speaker D:He's like, I know RC man.
Speaker D:It's like you're doing a lot man.
Speaker D:Thank you so much.
Speaker D:I get it.
Speaker D:Like he was Just so kind, and he was so sweet and so understanding.
Speaker D:And so it does make you sad, but it also gives you sort of the visual of how the outside doesn't always match the inside.
Speaker D:And recently there's been this quote from Robin Williams that has been floating around that says, people don't fake depression.
Speaker D:They fake being okay.
Speaker D:Right?
Speaker D:And so it lets you know, when I listen, I listen to it, or when I read it, it looks like.
Speaker D:Or it feels like it's like, okay.
Speaker D:That means that just because people are telling you that they're all right doesn't mean that they aren't fighting this internal battle, Right?
Speaker D:But it also means that when they tell you something is wrong, something's really wrong, right?
Speaker D:We can't say, oh, they got money, or, oh, they have success, or, oh, they have this, they are crying out to you.
Speaker D:And when you think a man doing that, that's not what we're taught to do, right?
Speaker D:It's counterintuitive to everything I've learned about be tough, fight through it, be a man.
Speaker D:Right?
Speaker D:And so when they actually say that to you, we have to listen.
Speaker D:We have to know that this is a person that's saying they're struggling.
Speaker D:They're asking to not be seen as a man, but to be seen as human.
Speaker D:As a human who is dealing with something.
Speaker D:And I think so many times for men, we realize, or we don't realize, I should say, that we're fighting a fight, that toughness actually isn't the greatest weapon, right?
Speaker D:It's vulnerability.
Speaker D:It's openness.
Speaker D:It's actually being, quote, unquote, soft enough to ask for help.
Speaker D:And so I think when people.
Speaker D:People reach out to you or when people tell you that there's something going on, we have to take those things extremely serious, man.
Speaker D:Because for a man to get there, that means he's tried everything else.
Speaker D:And when you try everything else and nothing's working, especially for successful people who are used to winning, I think that's a depth of a low that's real difficult to deal with.
Speaker A:Parking lot because the kids at the Sonic make fun of you every way.
Speaker C:I ran to the comments and unfortunately, they were exactly what I expected.
Speaker C:And it's real obvious that a lot of people in that comment section have never dealt with binge eating and never dealt with food addiction because so many comments were saying, well, just don't eat the ice cream.
Speaker C:It's okay to not go to Sonic.
Speaker C:Then I don't know.
Speaker C:I feel like two kids making fun of me would be my Breaking point.
Speaker C:And I would stop going.
Speaker C:And y'.
Speaker C:All, do you really think, you really think that it's that easy, that it's that easy, that it's never crossed her mind?
Speaker C:Or someone like me who used to be fully addicted to fast food and had those same kind of experiences, do you really think it's never crossed our minds to just not go through the drive thru or to just not eat the ice cream?
Speaker C:Because I can promise you it has.
Speaker C:But here, here's the thing.
Speaker C:Food addiction is not something that you can just quit cold turkey.
Speaker C:Because unlike other kinds of addiction, you need food to live.
Speaker C:And bed is the most commonly diagnosed ed out there.
Speaker C:Once you get that compulsion to go and eat, you can't just flip it off.
Speaker C:It's not a switch.
Speaker C:I remember pulling through the drive thrus day after day and crossing my fingers that switch.
Speaker C:Someone new was going to be working or someone different than the day before would be there.
Speaker C:I remember the first time I ever pulled up to the Taco Bell drive thru and I didn't even have to start my order.
Speaker C:They just already knew it.
Speaker C:They said, amber, pull around.
Speaker C:And the shame and the guilt that washed over me was like nothing I'd ever experienced before.
Speaker C:I felt like absolute about myself, was so embarrassed, so embarrassed.
Speaker C:And trust me, the thought of while why can't I just not go?
Speaker C:Why can't I just not go through the drive thru?
Speaker C:Why can't I just eat something else?
Speaker C:Why can't I just have a normal relationship with food like everybody else?
Speaker C:So I sat in the parking lot of my job at the time, bawled my eyes out, ate my food and guess what?
Speaker C:I went back the next day.
Speaker C:Because it's not just something that you can snap out of.
Speaker C:It's a full blown addiction, full blown disorder.
Speaker C:Maybe, just maybe we have a little bit more empathy.
Speaker B:If someone's out there right now listening and you're going through depression and all that shit, all I could tell you is I hope you're today is better than your yesterday and your tomorrow even better.
